Why reuse cork

Americans buy 4.2 billion bottles of wine every year. About 65% of those bottles use natural-cork stoppers. The material is nearly infinitely recyclable and Ridwell members have kept more than six million corks out of the landfill.

Cork is ideal for many uses. You can find cork shoes, yoga mats and blocks, sunglasses, toys, and even floor coverings and wall coverings—all 100% sustainable.

How it’s made

We collect cork from the Ridwell community and send it to Jelinek Cork Group.

The corks are ground into granules that can be reused again. Even stained corks can be part of this process!

The granules are formed into bespoke items that will hold up for years.
