Batteries are now accepted by your municipal recycling program!

Thanks to your passion for wasting less and recycling more, local governments around the Portland area are exploring adding new items to their municipal curbside recycling services. We’re excited to share that we’ve been informed that, starting July 1, 2022, batteries will be accepted for recycling by your municipal curbside collection program.

Because Ridwell provides services that are complementary to those already available in the communities in which we operate, we will be removing Batteries as a pickup category for our members in affected areas starting July 1st.
