Make an impact

Are you a high school student who’s passionate about sustainability? Are you interested in building leadership and entrepreneurship skills? We’re looking for teens to be part of our first-ever Student Leadership summer program. Student Leaders will help people in their communities learn about the waste problem we all face and how Ridwell can be a part of the solution.

Your goal: save 1,000 pounds of waste from landfills! Amazing, right? And it’s achievable!

  • The average Ridwell household saves an estimated 100 pounds per year. When you inspire 10 families to become Ridwell members, you meet the goal! You have until August 31 to get there.

  • Meet members of the Ridwell team and see behind the scenes of a social impact startup

  • At the halfway point (500 pounds saved), you earn a Ridwell t-shirt

  • Everyone who meets the goal receives a Ridwell Student Leadership Program Certificate from Ryan, the CEO of Ridwell

  • The top achiever in each region will be invited to join the inaugural Ridwell Teen Advisory Board for the 2024-25 school year

How it works

1

Learn about recycling and plastic waste.

We’ll host a training session and give you materials so you can teach people in your community about common recycling mistakes.  Plus, we’ll offer ongoing engagement throughout the summer.

2

Do your thing in your community.

How do you want to reach out to your community? It’s up to you! You might meet one on one, host a gathering, or put together a Zoom call.

3

Track your impact on your personal page.

We’ll create a page for you to share with friends, family, and neighbors. For every new Ridwell member that signs up through your page, you save 100 pounds from landfills!

"Working with Ridwell, I helped my community keep over 1,200 pounds from landfills! I was able to meet the Ridwell team and see behind the scenes of how their operations worked. It was a great way to get involved and make a difference. If you have a passion for sustainability, I highly recommend you register!"
