The Community Builders program is designed to give enthusiastic Ridwell members the chance to try new services, peek behind the scenes, help others learn, and spread the word about sending less to landfills. Activities and opportunities will take place online and in person, in your area.
As part of the first group of Community Builders, you’ll help shape the program. If you want to invest a bit of time and energy into creating a world without waste, this is your sign to take the next step.

Would you enjoy leading a local gathering to help folks in your area learn about sending less to landfills? We’ll provide materials to guide the conversation.

Community Builders will get the chance to try new products and services before other Ridwell members and provide feedback as we continue to grow.

We’re looking for people who have a passion for creating a world without waste and a willingness to get out and educate their communities. We don’t expect or require you to have a social media following. Community Builders applicants must have an active Ridwell membership and live in an area with Ridwell service.

Community Builders are invited to participate in a wide range of opportunities that help others waste less. Choose the opportunities that resonate with you. You’ll also create a better Ridwell by providing feedback to the Ridwell team. We also really hope you’ll enjoy connecting with other Community Builders and take part in some fun opportunities, like a warehouse tour or occasional opportunities to be featured in local news stories! There are no specific expectations for the amount of time you choose to invest in this program and we understand that your availability will have ups and downs.

This is an ongoing program with members being accepted for one year intervals. Some members will be fulfilled with their experience after one year in the program, while others may easily re-apply to remain in the program for another year.

The program is free. You just need to have an active Ridwell membership.

Community Builders will be the first to try new Ridwell products and services. You’ll peek behind the scenes during in-person warehouse tours and get to know Ridwell leadership in online sessions. Using tools we provide, you’ll help educate your community about wasting less. Plus, you’ll get to know other Community Builders in your area and around the country. We’re planning some fun surprises, too!
