Our spring community catch up

Ridwell members and teammates are part of an awesome community. On any given week – in addition to responsibly recycling and reusing every day – you can find these inspiring people helping Billie Eilish be more sustainable, getting bikes to kids in need, and turning old electronics into art. Here are the highlights of what our community has been up to recently across the country.

Seattle

We recently started working with Climate Pledge Arena to pick up hard-to-recycle items after major concerts and events. When Billie Eilish came to town she was vocal about wanting to make sure things were recycled after her concert and we were more than happy to help!

Portland

Our Portland members blew us away with their generosity, donating over one thousand used bicycles to WashCo Bikes and Free Bikes 4 Kidz. Now instead of taking up space in a garage or collecting dust, these bikes are helping kids, families, and refugees get around in the Portland area.

Austin

Our Austin community is one of our newer ones, but is already making a big impact. They wasted no time and participated in a park cleanup. To celebrate Keep Austin Beautiful Day, 32 Volunteers from the Ridwell community picked up 55 bags of trash and recycling from Bartholomew Park.

Twin Cities

In just over a month, our Minneapolis community has doubled in size, and folks were so excited to tell their neighbors that we were able to expand to St. Paul as well. Our Twin Cities community went above and beyond, answering a last minute call for towels and pillowcases for animals in need and helping us get them to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Minnesota

Denver & Boulder

What do you do with a bundle of pesky unwanted cords lying around the house? Turn them into art, of course! That’s what artist Kalliopi Monoyio did with cords we’d collected from our members in Denver, giving these unwanted cords a beautiful second life.

Bay Area

With much anticipation and excitement for future Ridwell services, Bay Area neighbors are already making a positive impact. This past month they donated 2030 children's books to the East Bay Children’s Book Project, which promotes literacy by connecting children in need with books.

All of this incredible positive change is only possible because of your generosity and passion for our mission. Thank you! If you’re not a part of Ridwell yet, we’d love to have you join us
